President Barack Obama has recently completed the most successful foreign policy tour since Napoleon's retreat from Moscow. You name it, he blew it. What was his big deal economic programme that he was determined to drive through the G20 summit? Another massive stimulus package, globally funded and co-ordinated. Did he achieve it? Not so as you'd notice.

Mexico City, Mexico, (CNA) -- Despite lawsuits and threats against him, Cuernavaca Bishop Florencio Olvera Ochoa says he will continue defending the right to life, and will republish his “Decalogue of Electoral Sins” for the July 5, 2009 federal legislative elections.

Bishop Olvera was the target of lawsuits because of the Decalogue he published during the previous election season, when he pointed out the issues that disqualify a candidate from receiving the Catholic vote: support for abortion, euthanasia, homosexual “marriage,” genetic manipulation and the denial of the right of parents to educate their children.

This year the bishop published an updated version of his guide -- and again became the target of criticisms and threats.

Barack Hussein Obama departed Europe urging European leaders to submit and cave in to Islamic Turkey's demand for membership in the EU. Is this were to happen it would end Europe as we know it.

Italy's "Festival di San Remo," the most important musical happening in my country which is seen on T.V. by millions of Italians, became the unlikely platform this year for a powerful ex-gay testimony.

The singer, Giuseppe Povia, winner of the festival in 2006, presented a song entitled, "Luca Era Gay" (Luca was once gay) -- SEE VIDEO HERE. The title of his song, implying that some gays can change to heterosexuality, was sufficient to destabilize the Italian gay movement. Gay activists threatened to block the festival, and Europarlimentary member Vittorio Agnoletto asked for a European resolution to stop Povia from peforming the song. Povia, himself, received death threats. The gay association "Everyone" denounced Povia to the Procura of the Republic for alleged "homophobia." These efforts failing, gay activists then asked the Festival organizers to "counterbalance" Povia with a song by a gay singer, about "the perfection of homosexual love." That effort too, failed.

Daley, US commerce secretary from 1997 to 2000, chairman of Al Gore’s 2000 presidential campaign, co-chairman of Barack Obama's presidential campaign, and a Catholic-- has harshly criticized Cardinal Francis George for opposing the University of Notre Dame’s decision to award President Barack Obama an honorary degree. “Cardinal Francis George recently said this invitation is an embarrassment to Catholics because the president disagrees with church doctrine on abortion and stem-cell research,” writes Daley. “But I believe Cardinal George's stand is an embarrassment to Chicago Catholics and furthers the divide among the church, its members and the rest of America.”

Incrementally your freedoms will be taken over by the socialist anti-American government of Obama. Have you ever heard of a US president firing a CEO of an American Corporation? We should be worried. Obama is quickly destroying our country and attempting to build a nation where productive private sector jobs will decrease and unproductive government jobs increase. The increase size of government and influence of socialist labor unions are ready to guide our country to a fascist state that will suppress individual freedoms first with a smile and then with Chicago style thugs.

Despite being rocked by criticism, this pope continues to enjoy the trust of the masses. His trip to Africa and a survey in Italy prove this. The reason is that he speaks of God to a humanity in search of direction

Warning that the Obama administration’s proposed removal of conscience-protection regulations for health care workers “would be the first step in moving our country from democracy to despotism,” Cardinal Francis George, president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, urged Catholics to contact the Department of Health and Human Services before the administration makes its final decision. “We therefore need legal protection for freedom of conscience and of religion-- including freedom for religious health care institutions to be true to themselves,” Cardinal George said. He added:

Conscientious objection against many actions is a part of our life. We have a conscientious objection against war for those who cannot fight, even though it’s good to defend your country. We have a conscientious objection for doctors against being involved in administering the death penalty. Why shouldn’t our government and our legal system permit conscientious objection to a morally bad action, the killing of babies in their mother’s womb?

People understand what really happens in an abortion and in related procedures—a living member of the human family is killed—that’s what it’s all about—and no one should be forced by the government to act as though he or she were blind to this reality. I ask you please to let the government know that you want conscience protections to remain strongly in place. In particular, let the Department of Health and Human Services in Washington know that you stand for the protection of conscience, especially now for those who provide the health care services so necessary for a good society.

Former Supervisor Tony Hall has refiled his criminal complaint against Supervisor Sean Elsbernd aide Olivia Scanlon with the San Francisco Police Department Fraud Division, Fog City Journal has learned.
